Who are you and what do you do for work?

Roosa Simola works as the marketing manager at Veritas Pension Insurance Company. In the video, she talks about what she has studied and what her job involves.

“My work includes handling various marketing campaigns, social media, brand work, partnerships, events and so on. I’m also in charge of digital tools and marketing automation, and I work closely together with our communications team and especially our sales team.

“When I was finishing my thesis for my Bachelor of Business Administration degree, I applied for a job at Veritas, got it and started working as an insurance advisor in our corporate services. My clients mostly included entrepreneurs and companies of various sizes.”

Simola later pursued a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Turku. After completing her master’s, she has held many different roles at Veritas, working for example as a system specialist, project manager and digital services manager.

“After quite a few twists and turns, I eventually made my way into my current role as marketing manager. A varied job and role suit my personality: I like that I get to do all sorts of things with lots of different people.”

The statutory pension insurance industry is tightly regulated, but companies nevertheless compete over customers.

“Finding ways to constantly do things better allows me to use my creativity and keeps my thinking fresh.”
