Who are you and what do you do for work?

Satu Sandell works as a pension specialist at Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company. In the video, she talks about what she has studied and what her job involves.

“I originally completed a vocational qualification in business and administration specialising in marketing, but I’ve always had a soft spot for insurance and pensions. After that marketing qualification, I pursued a master’s degree in social sciences. I majored in social policy and even wrote my master’s thesis on pensions.”

“A big part of my job is communicating about pension matters, which are very important to people. I also develop the services we offer to pension customers and host pension infos for client companies. This is the spice of my work.”

Sandell says that the best thing about her job is the wonderful work community at Elo and an employer that encourages people to take up different duties.

“Working with pensions is mentally stimulating and challenges me in a good way.”
